Delete your account in the app
- Open schoolhouse and tap your photo at the top right of Home.
- Tap Security setting.
- Tap Ask to delete your account and data, then Send request.
To delete only a child's information, open My children, tap the child, then ⋮ and Ask schoolhouse to delete it.
No longer have the app?
Email hello@loveschoolhouse.com from the email address you signed up with, with the subject Delete my schoolhouse account. Tell us your name and your school. For your safety we may ask you to confirm the request before we delete anything.
What is deleted
Within 30 days of a confirmed request we delete:
- your account, sign-in and profile (name, phone, address, photo);
- your verification documents (staff ID, CAC documents);
- your messages, posts and comments;
- for a parent's request: your children's details, photos, results, attendance and timeline;
- your WhatsApp or SMS alert settings and your bank details for withdrawals.
What we keep, and for how long
- Payment and fee records (amounts, dates, references) for as long as Nigerian tax and financial law requires, then they are deleted.
- Records a school must keep by law about a pupil, held by the school, not used by schoolhouse for anything else.
- Information needed for an open dispute, report or legal case, until it is resolved.
Notices you published for a whole school stay with the school without your name. Any money left in your schoolhouse wallet should be withdrawn before you ask for deletion.
